KLMC has been in the forefront in advocating for the rights of pastoralists and negotiating for better policies in the ASAL areas. Moreover, KLMC is involved in the advocacy for better infrastructure development for the pastoral areas to ease market access, organizing pastoralist gathering every year (pastoralist week) with other partners, facilitating livestock related policy review, beef value chain study, participates and represents pastoralist in all livestock related forums and research.
